ANBI

The Stichting European Lawyers Foundation (ELF) was established in The Hague on 27 August 2014 as a Dutch public benefit organization. This means that ELF is able to benefit from the ANBI status granted by the Dutch Law.

ELF’s objectives
The main aim of ELF is to implement value-added projects that create services for European lawyers and on issues related to justice policies in Europe. Furthermore, the Foundation may also implement projects related to other objectives, such as human rights and the rule of law.

Financial Accountability
For more information about our finances, please find our budget and the latest annual report here.

Donors
ELF’s work is funded partially by organisations such as the European Union through funded projects. ELF also receives financial aid (2014-2016) from The Hague municipality and from other donors such as the French Conseil National des Barreaux, the Paris Bar and the French Conférence des Bâtonniers. The Dutch Bar (Nederlandse Orde Van Advocaten) has allowed us rent-free office space (and related costs) in The Hague. Other Bars such as the Spanish Bar and the Barcelona Bar have sponsored our work in particular areas.

ELF accepts donations from individuals, which are tax-deductible in the Netherlands. Donations can be made to the following account:
